IGive is a terrific way to help because you can actually save money while you shop on-line through the iGive mall. Retailers often offer special discounts or free shipping to iGive customers and a percentage of your on-line purchases will go to help Freckles' Friends. Be sure to download the iGive shopping window from the home page so that you won't miss an opportunity. If you go to a site such as BarnesandNoble.com or Expedia.com without going to iGive first, your purchase will still help Freckles' Friends as long as you have the shopping window downloaded. There are over 650 on-line stores that participate in iGive so go ahead and shop for the cause! THERE IS NO COST TO YOU TO PARTICIPATE AND IN FACT, YOU WILL PROBABLY SAVE MONEY! Sell or buy on Ebay for Freckles' Friends! As an Ebay seller, sign up for a FREE Mission Fish account through the Ebay giving works program and you can donate a percentage of your sales on all or select items to Freckles' Friends. The minimum donation is $5. If you are not a seller, check out the items that others are selling to benefit Freckles' Friends by going to Freckles' Friends at Ebay Giving Works. Organize a fundraiser! Big or small, it all adds up and we need your help. All fundraisers for Freckles' Friends do need to be approved by the board of directors. Please email your plans to freckles.friends@yahoo.com. Register your Food Lion MVP card in Food Lion's Shop and Share program choosing Freckles' Friends of Liberty, TN as your cause to support. Go to www.foodlion.com/fundraising to register your card or sign up for a new card. Be sure to use your card when you purchase groceries. Spay or neuter your pets. We have a terrible problem in the DeKalb County area. There are simply too many pets for the number of people who want them. Every kitten or puppy that is prevented can save the life of a homeless pet. Please do the right thing, the responsible thing, and make sure that all your pets are spayed or neutered. Go to our Spay and Neuter page to see the programs available for financial assistance. Complete a pledge form and become an annual donor. One way that we can show grant foundations that we have the support of our community is through our annual donor program. Sign a pledge form and you can send us your pledged amount all at once or throughout the year. Request a pledge form at admin@frecklestn.org or click here for a printable form. Donate your empty inkjet or laser printer cartridges and old cell phones. We have a recycle program for these items and you can drop them off at Pamida or at Bargain Hunter's Flea Market in Smithville, TN. This not only helps us but is good for the environment as well. Save your aluminum for us to recycle. Please crush cans to make smaller loads whenever possible. Aluminum foil is also recyclable! Call 615-464-6104 for a pickup. Help us find a place to build. We are looking for an appropriate site on which to build our shelter. We need approximately 3 acres in DeKalb County, preferably in Liberty or Dowelltown.
